Too bad he probably had very little knowledge of the Bible.

This just requires me to delurk for a few minutes and write:

And according to Roman Catholic tradition Muslims are just as good as FRoman Catholics.

as good as? I'm torn between "Why do you call me good?" and "As a Papist Person I don't rely on my 'goodness'" as two equally appropriate responses. Good grief, the only goodness that saves is God's. I thought you knew this kind of stuff.

CCC 841 The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind’s judge on the last day.
_____________________________________________________

Islam is the equivalent to Roman Catholicism. I’ve seen multiple “interpretations” of the above here on FR, but they all fall short of the plain sense of the text.

Do the homework.

I did; apparently, you haven't.

Read your catechism:

841 The Church's relationship with the Muslims. "The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind's judge on the last day."

emphasis mine.

And just so you can look for yourself:
http://www.vatican.va/archive/ENG0015/__P29.HTM

Hmmm. Seems pretty plain to me.... or does the Magicsterium need to give the proper interpretation?

Was he baptized? Well, according to the Roman Cultists on this site, I read continually that baptism is the key -- convert or revert makes no difference. If he was Roman Catholic and accepted in the rolls, it's Rome's problem. Can't go weaseling with, "he never believed." So, if you're Catholic and baptized... you still have to believe? You guys are confusing me. I can't begin to recall the number of times I've read, "once your Catholic, your ALWAYS Catholic. Sound familiar, Metmom?

And finally, if the Catechism of the Catholic Church says Catholics and Mohammedans worship the same God, well, then, it's just the final proof that Roman Catholicism is a false, pagan religion. Period.

Link please. He may have been, but without solid evidence all we know is that he is, uhh, was, one of yours.

My apologies; apparently the source for my information included several other conversion stories. The conversion of Idris Tawfiq, however, is not recent and has been published on multiple news outlets over the past few years. Moreover, as suspected, it is being used as propaganda to advocate christian conversion to Islam. There are hundreds of islamic sites with his story and I refuse to visit any of those links. Regardless, there is something wrong with his story; many missing details. Whoever suggested it, we should pray for him.

Now why would one religion use propaganda to advocate converting to another?

generally speaking in Islam there are no converts. They claim everyone who joins to be reverts.

He claims to have been born Catholic:

'“I was born and grew up in the North of England in an ordinary family for whom religion wasn’t particularly important,” admits Tawfiq. “We were the types of Catholics who went to church on a Sunday, but not enough to merit us being described as especially religious.”' - http://www.emel.com/article?id=85&a_id=2368

This guy is a straight up religious pimp, walking people into their hole.

Remember, the devil does not like exposure, and it is why he walks others into a hole and darkness.

It is a matter of retranslating them and walking them, and then they get quiet, back in their caves.
