Your post was nasty and therefore deserves no “argument”.
You’re right. Jesus was God and therefore He is not bound by what He tells us to do. But He informed us quite clearly: Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.”
Christians have always seen baptism as necessary for salvation. To believe otherwise is heresy.
But this is not the first time you’ve heard this, so you are pertinacious in your heresy. Therefore it’s clear that nothing I say will help you come to the Truth.
Carry on.
“Oh goodie, Voldemort woke up.”
What a surprise: You’re a fan of books for Middle School children.
“Utterly absurd.”
Your post is, yes.
As expected, nothing you posted negated anything I said. Go ahead and continue to fail to make a coherent or intelligent argument.
Your post is, yes.
Which post, Voldemort? The one about God personally caring about common, non-priest people? LOL, yes, you would indeed think such an idea to be utterly absurd.
But why didn't you spell it out, like you do everything else?
LOL, never mind, it's obvious. Some things are better left unsaid. Don't want the riff-raff getting riled up, eh?
How not surprising that you immediately understood the reference.
“Which post, Voldemort?”
Who in this thread has that name?
“How not surprising that you immediately understood the reference.”
I know he’s a character in Harry Potter books, but I’ve never read them nor have I seen any of the movies. Do you think there is any chance you will mature enough to use someone’s chosen screen name rather than refer to them by a children’s book character’s name?
?
Brotha Swaggart says no one has to get a drop a of water on them to be “born again”. Praise de Lawd!
You know Christ because of the Catholic Church. Don’t you think it’s about time to show a little respect?
What nonsensical hubris. I know Christ because God put in my heart to know Christ. I know Christ because God saw fit to preserve His word as He promised through whatever means He thought appropriate. For Catholics or the Catholic Church to try to take that glory which belongs to God alone will not end well for them.
About as much respect as Judas who was also used by God but turned away from the true teachings of Christ.
These people are really, really hateful. Time for a little dusting off of the sandals.
You're going to have to do a little bit better than that if you want to even approach my level of outrage. Because I'm one of those who was told my soul was "marked" as belonging to the Church when I was a tiny baby and that my free will was eliminated concerning the matter at that point, and I find THAT "nasty."
But your response is not entirely unexpected, because there is in fact no "argument" for such ugly lies about claims against people's souls. If you had a shred of decency you'd be ashamed, but I note you are not, in fact, ashamed.
Ashamed of what Christ teaches through his one True Church?
Never.
Your claim to Christ's "one True Church" ends where you try to "mark my soul" as a child, without my consent.
Treating such a mind rape with a facile quip makes me pray that you do indeed answer to Christ for what you call your "faith."
"Whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believed in me, it were better for him that millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea." Matthew 18:6
I also notice a big uptick in language from their favorite author of comics.
Apparently slinging the same slanders and blasphemies He Who Shall Not Be Mentioned spews is fine just as long as you don't admit where you got your lies from.
