Anyone could easily (and rightfully) say, “Well I guess you don’t really believe it’s killing a baby, after all you’re not trying anything that could stop at least some of the things you call babies being killed. If I believed they were babies being killed I’d do everything I could to save as many of them as I could, NOW. So I don’t believe you when you claim it’s a baby”.

That's really contorted logic.

Fact is, there are three groups in play here:

1. Those who say it's okay to kill all the children.

2. Those who say it's okay to kill all the children, as long as you comply with our arbitrary schedule and rules.

3. Those who say it's not okay, morally, constitutionally, or legally, to murder any innocent person.

There are two groups at lagerheads (in play):

1. Those who know the organism inside a woman's womb is a human being and therefore terminating its existence is murder.

2. Those who don't believe it's a human being until it's born (or some point after conception)

That's the problem. (#2).

Those are the factors/groups "in play" unless you believe that everyone who is "pro choice" KNOWS the organism inside a woman's uterus is a human being yet they choose to support the "right" to kill it anyway. In other words, everyone on the pro "choice" side is obstinately evil.

We may say they are and think they are because they refuse to see the plain truth in front of them, but the fact of the matter is the vast majority of people who don't have a problem with abortion don't actively choose to do so because they KNOW it's a baby but don't care. They do so because they have convinced themselves it's a "clump of cells"'or some such sterile term or image that separates it from its humanity. In other words the problem with group 2 is education. (Of course there are some extremist nutjobs who know it's a human being but these are in the minority)

The problem with the three distinctions you've made is that if it's true then the "war"'is already lost. This is because if all the people who are pro "choice" are either "1. Those who say it's okay to kill all the children." or "2. Those who say it's okay to kill all the children, as long as you comply with our arbitrary schedule and rules." (Emphasis added) then these people will never be stopped no matter how many laws you pass! They will never change their mind because they've already decided (if you're right) that it's "ok" to kill all children.

Now I suppose you might say "anyone who supports the current life movment fits in my category 2" but that's no more accurate than saying anyone who didn't advocate making the liberation of all the Jews in all the concentration camps all at once their top and only priority wasn't really opposed to Naziism (the analogy is apt since both are holocausts). No, when we fought WWII we fought it one battle at a time one victory at a time, until the final goal was reached. And this wasn't "giving away" weapons it was using them at the appropriate time to achieve victory.

However again, if you really believe everyone who doesn't agree with you literally believes it's "ok" to kill all children then you've already lost. Because you're never going to convince such hopelessly obstinately evil people (which I guess you might say I am one) by passing any law. Because obstinately evil people will do what they do despite any law against their immorality.
