I am VERY careful about what claiming my Lord and Savior would do. Since Jesus is God I would say, “Look at the Old Testament and what God did then”.
1.) Jesus did say “You have heard it said ‘an eye for an eye’, but I tell you ‘Love your enemies...’”
2.) With that in mind, there is an argument for Just War against radical extremists, which most people know about.
And with that in mind (2) neither side will win in this argument given (1 and 2).
