**Subdeacon - Rev. Paul Scalia (Bishop’s Delegate for Clergy, Diocese of Arlington)**

Son of Antonin Scalia, Supreme Court Justice. He jokes about calling his son, Father.

THANK YOU for pointing this out! The tide is turning as more Americans now claim to be pro-life. Let's see if the men is on board. No doubt their attention will be riveted on those picketing the event.

Time for all the bishops who cuddle and snuggle with Andrew Cuomo, Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden, John Kerry, et al., to come give rip-roaring speeches and be applauded by pro-lifers.

The sad thing about the March for Life is that its official purpose is to lobby Congress for the “Paramount Human Life Amendment”—a completely futile and unnecessary cause. All the while, by a SIMPLE MAJORITY VOTE, the Congress can remove abortion from the appellate jurisdiction of the Supreme Court. And the Congress can find that the unborn baby is a “person within the meaning of the Fourteenth Amendment,” which would nullify Roe v. Wade and every other USSC decision predicated on the non-personhood of the unborn baby.

The Catholic bishops COULD articulate Catholic teaching, which is that the abortion decisions are ALL NULL. The bishops COULD require that all Catholic governors treat the abortion decisions as nullities—i.e., disobey them. I.e., it is the duty of all governors to enforce the homicide laws against abortionists, disregarding all of the USSC’s abortion decisions. Catholic governors who obey the Supreme Court MUST be denied Communion. Otherwise, the local bishop and all his priests are in the state of mortal sin.

The Catholic Church has not even BEGUN to take its own teaching on abortion seriously.

This coming Thursday, January 22, the US House of Representatives will vote on a bill that would outlaw abortions after the stage of development when scientists have testified that babies can feel pain.

The Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act (HR 36) is a vital step in the direction of protecting those who cannot protect themselves.

Please use the easy-to-use, pre-written and customizable Freedom2Care action form to urge your Representative to support this bill.

Thank you for taking a stand for life.

Workerbee, I know you’ve been a tireless worker for the pro-life cause. But in this case, I couldn’t agree more with Arthur McGowan.

The Catholic church has, for far too long, been allowed to go unreported for its blatant hypocrisy of complaining about abortion for one weekend a year, while cozying up to AND ACCEPTING MONEY FROM abortion-loving power holders the other 51 weeks of the year.

I have my own sins I need to take care of, so I’m in no way perfect. But at least that comes from an understanding of what sin is, and my acts with regards to God’s plan for me. The Catholic church, as it manifests itself, does NOTHING to teach those it is supposed to shepard about the evil nature of abortion. In fact, by honoring pro-abortion politicians, it does just the opposite.

By yelling as I do, I hope Catholicism will change, or if it won’t, quite properly, that it dies the death it deserves to die.

In April of 1973, the bishops’ conference issued a short statement, in which they state ACTUAL Catholic teaching on Roe and Doe: They said that it was the obligation of ALL PUBLIC OFFICIALS at EVERY LEVEL (i.e., federal, state, and local) to carry out their public duties as though the decisions had not been made. I.e., treat the Supreme Court decisions as nullities.

The logical result of this would be, for instance, that when pro-lifers started blocking abortion clinic doors, the police would refuse to arrest them, judges would refuse to convict them, governors would order all prosecutors not to prosecute.

The bishops would demand that all governors enforce all the abortion laws without regard to the Supreme Court.

In actual fact, the bishops ignored their own statement.

And today, only about 12 bishops are NOT walking around habitually in the state of mortal sin, because only about 12 of them deny Communion to pro-aborts.

The American bishops are not Catholicism.

A particular Pope is not Catholicism.

In fact, I believe that THIS Pope is as unconcerned about abortion as the current crop of American bishops. his favorites among the bishops (Wuerl, Dolan, O’Malley, Cupich) have NO concern about the babies. They are too busy snuggling with Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, John Kerry, etc.

We have NEVER had a large number of bishops in America who gave a whit about abortion. Roe v. Wade was decided just over four years after the American bishops (with a single exception) refused to teach Humanae Vitae.

Who was the exception?

Patrick Aloysius Cardinal O’Boyle, Archbishop of Washington.

His most unworthy successor, Donald Wuerl, insists on giving Communion to Nancy Pelosi, lesbians, gay couples, etc.
