Oh, but you have to give up MUCH to accept the gospel -
you have to give up the notion that anything you EVER do could ever be good enough to earn your salvation.
I blame the thousands (millions?) of people who follow him and enable him to spread his apostate, spirit-free non-faith.
And once you do, you will see God pardoning things you never thought could be pardoned
I see a lot of begged questions and questionable assumptions in many such criticisms.
Such that Osteen is the one and only source of gospel that his audiences hear.
That is a very serious insinuation and to offer it without proof is to flirt with false witness.
I came across Jim Bakker the other week. I was surprised he wasn’t in jail. If you steal then steal big.

I would add Jack Van Impe to that list.
He was for a while. Guess he paud his debt to society.
IIRC, somebody once told me that, inside one of the Pauline letters, it is an admonishment for the one hearing the words from any preacher, to check out what they have said, against The Scriptures, and see if what was said, fits the ‘by two or three witnesses’ test.
I can’t stomach Osteen. He is greasy and insincere and motivated by separating people from their money. Obama is greasy and insincere and motivated by separating people from their eternal souls.
Simple solution for those who despise Joel Osteen. Don’t attend his church, seminars, don’t buy his books, dont watch on TV and dont send any money. He’s not forcing anyone to do those things. His message is a bit heavy on the syrup but he’s not preaching against Christ. The federal government steals your money while preaching godless, tyrannical ideology.

Compare this ‘ministry’ and those like it with those Christians in the Middle East right now, today, who are being forced from their homes and facing immediate persecution and death on the spot.
Osteen and those like him want the world to love them and it certainly gives the appearance that it does, with great riches heaped on them,
But this is not how Jesus said the world would treat those that belong to him,
