I hope he lives to, but political Islam outside of Indonesia isn’t going to let this pass. There is too much at stake, and they absolutely cannot afford a success. Doubtful he makes it out of 2015.
"Political Islam" really doesn't give a rats about much beyond its own bailiwick. The reason bin Laden left his homeland of Saudi Arabia was because his own government promised him a HEAD CHOPPING if he showed his ugly face in the KSA again.
He went to the Sudan first, I think, then to Pakistan. Pakistan (Pak=pure; stan=land; Pakistan, land of the pure) was delighted to welcome a wealthy and very angry Saudi ahole. Pakistan was supposed to be OUR friend over there. Hah.
bin Laden's family was wealthy, powerful and well connected but that didn't buy him ONE SECOND of grace from the executioner in his OWN homeland.
You see, "Islam" didn't translate even from Saudi Arabia to Pakistan. Each country has its own agenda and to heck with anyone else...Muslim OR Christian.
