No! had he taught that, he would have been in violation of Torah, and the prophets, and thus his blood incapable of redeeming us. He would have been a worker of iniquity.
All, from Adam to the end are “under” Torah. That is the total of man. (Ecclesiastes 12:13)
No one is “under” grace!
Grace is not something that one can be under, it is a gift for those that love him and “Believe” in him as the Hebrew tradition understood belief.
