Just trying to fit in with the REST of America!
Just trying to fit in with the REST of America!
Mexico has some of the strictest abortion laws in the world, and many women are finding themselves criminalised even after a miscarriage,
We've CHOICED about 57,000,000 future American citizens to death; Mexico is merely try to help us make up the slack by giving us it's...
...tired, it's poor, it's huddled masses yearning to breathe free...
This sounds, shall we say, quite PROTESTANT to me!
Although Adoration...
Veneration...
Praying before them...
Slavish tending of them is quite acceptable.
COWBIRDS!!!
(Google® it!)
When in ROME...
The Catholic vote last month went to republicans. I think by 57%.
Mitt Romney got almost 50% of the Catholic vote in 2012, with REAL Catholics, i.e. those that actually go to Mass, voting for him by almost 60%. Obama BARELY “carried” the “Catholic vote” when non Mass attending hypocrites are thrown in the numbers, and hispanics that vote for the welfare daddy. Catholics vote exactly like protestants vote. In you go to Church you vote for republicans, if you dont you vote for democrats. Thats fact.
We know this because my wife and I live in an area which is slightly more Catholic and have served as poll watchers. Nuns in the local order are on our GOP friendly list.
I know a LOT of former mainline Protestant church goers who've switched churches (sometimes even within the same brand) for exactly that reason.
Desperation of devotion to deception denied by the evidence. Your fellows RCs should ask you to turn in your keyboard.
“Church attendance is a far better predictor of voting behavior than the Catholic vs. Protestant meme. Cafeteria Catholics vote like mainline Protestants of the C&E variety. Regular mass attending Catholics vote like regular church attending Protestants”.
Which is fact, but some on FR just can’t seem to accept that fact.
Generally speaking you should be registered at a particular parish-—like being registered to vote.
However, Catholics are free to attend Mass anywhere they want. And we do attend Mass at various different churches in the area on Saturday night depending on where we are as Mass approaches. On Saturday night we have one church that starts Mass at 5:00 PM, one that starts at 5:30 PM, and another that starts at 6:00PM. So we have a lot of choices and a lot depends on where we are and what we’re doing.
Fortunately most of the services we attend are free of political discourse and concentrate on things churches should be focused on.
However, when go to the main Cathedral in downtown, where I am registered parishioner and volunteer for Sunday morning Mass, we are often are subjected to the Archbishop’s exhortations on immigration reform (amnesty) and the Cathedral is also helping the state of CA implement its new law allowing illegal aliens to obtain drivers licenses
So, we be in New Jerusalem now?
.
Universal pagan cult!
.
The “cult” started by Christ himself. So Christ was a “cult” leader?
Religious “cults” are the domains of protestants, and the illustrious list of cult leaders includes Jim Jones and David Koresh.
Hear Hear!!
Our small town Church used to have a separate spanish mass for the few mexicans we have around here. For some reason they stopped. I hear because low attendance. So they integrated the sunday services, mariachi music and everything repeated in spanish.
It's no wonder why Illegals feel so entitled with government special treatment and an institution as old as the Catholic Church making special exceptions.
The difference is that that in your case the evidence only support that it is RCs, white and Latino, who provide most of the liberal vote, while the Prots who do so usually belong to denominations who deny the primary distinctive of the Reformation, while those who hold most strongly to Scripture literally being the wholly inspired and accurate assured word of God are the most conservative.
By 2007, the majority of the Latino electorate was Catholic (63%), and 70% of all Latino eligible voters who identified as Democrats were Catholics.- http://www.pewhispanic.org/2007/04/25/changing-faiths-latinos-and-the-transformation-of-american-religion/
Latino Evangelicals are 50% more likely than those who are Catholics to identify with the Republican Party, and are significantly more conservative than Catholics on social issues, foreign policy issues and even in their attitudes toward the plight of the poor. http://pewforum.org/surveys/hispanic
No those are not facts just opinions or suppositions until we see the numbers. Do you have evidence of your opinion polls?
Let's look at some of your reasoning. You stated Romney received 60% of the mass going Catholics. Why not 100%?
You’re right, just opinions because all those protestants that voted for OBama, especially the 99% of blacks that voted for him are fans of abortion and they all go to church. Baptists, methodists, episcopalians and a bunch more protestant “churches” all believe in selective abortion. Only the Catholic CHurch has no abortion for any reason. Now put that in your pipe and smoke it.
“You stated Romney received 60% of the mass going Catholics. Why not 100”.
They didn’t vote, or for the same reason that 100% of church going protestants didn’t vote for Romney.
