The prayer is asking her to PRAY FOR US! Is that really so hard for you to understand? Whereever two or more are gathered? I swear you people go out of your way to not understand something that the average 5 year old understands.

Here have a hissy fit on me! Mary! Mary ! Mary! BOOOOOOO! A prayer means you are praying. If you and I were friends and I was sick in the hospital, I would say "hey defconw please pray for me." Then you would probably say "got your back buddy."
But I would not say a prayer to you to say a prayer for me. The prayers to Mary are not just 'request' forms they are praise for her. They are appealing to attributes of her some Biblical most not; to a perceived special position never given to her by Christ nor the apostles.
