Fundamentalist Protestants, of course, attribute this antipathy to the "second coming" to a bad conscience, to an inner awareness that they're going to be punished badly for deviating from "true" chrstianity. This is the same attitude all forms of chrstianity attribute to Judaism vis a vis the "first advent." Ironic, huh?
Too much is confused in this paragraph to know how to discern the irony of it. Sounds educated and smart, but isn't really. Just your opinion.
Well, at least I got the "the 'second coming' is a horrible thing 'cause the world's gonna be burned to a crisp" part right, didn't I? '-)
