It’s an ironic thing. I think my RCIA students know more of the essentials than Pope Francis does. I think the three semi-literate shepherds children at Fatima knew more. They had the certainty that comes from trust in God. Psalm 19:17 says “The law of the LORD is perfect, refreshing the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, giving wisdom to the simple.
