Marriage is a religious institution, controlled by religious rules. Government should have nothing to do with it.

At some age, we are an "Adult". Codify that. Then, what two, three or five consenting adults choose to do amongst themselves is none of my business.

All legal considerations can be handled through contracts. If we stop bestowing special rights on groups, like homeowner interest tax deductions, inheritance based on "marriage", bans on distilling (free the shine!) we can move to a more equal society.

Get the government out my pocket, my backyard, and my bedroom.
