I get that there are many who detest MormonsIf you frequent these threads, you'll see that the animosity is directed at Mormonism, not Mormons. It is the institution, not the people which is detested. Paul tells us that we contend against "powers and principalities", not "flesh and blood" (Ephesians 6:12).
Most of the regular posters on these forums have many friends and family still involved in Mormonism.
