hmmm. OK. My bad again. I do like him a lot. Very pro life. I know he’s somewhat for amnesty but I think he comes to it honestly and he’s saved me thousands in tax cuts. Also, I love the two judges in my district whom he appointed.

My last trip to the adoration chapel I spent my two-hour time spot with two complete strangers; I've never seen either one of them before (I usually adore alone; our chapel is very tiny). Excellent! This is so true and GOOD. Thank you.
The people I know who spend much time in front of the Blessed Sacrament at adoration seem so very balanced and loving in what they say and do. We know why that takes place. Spending much time with HE, WHO is HOLY has a profound effect.

We can also consecrate ourselves to Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Mary. I wish to encourage everyone on this thread to do so via the book, 33 Days to Morning Glory: A Do-It-Yourself Retreat In Preparation for Marian Consecration by Fr. Michael E. Gaitley. One will see a wonderful growth in spiritual life after doing this...and that is something VERY good for all of us. ;-)

It looks like your first comments were deleted, so I don’t know your opinion on this topic.

I made no comment at all. I posted the second paragraph of the article then I posted the Pope's picture from the article.

Since personal attacks are out of bounds, some have take to making general statements about "Catholic haters" (and similar variations.) I do not hate Catholics. I hate what the RCC is doing. I've been clear about that on any thread whose subject discusses RCC sacred tradition and dogma and where I am allowed to post an opinion.

I did not post this article to start a battle. I posted it because another thread about this same article was removed. The poster did not follow the posting rules. It is a significant and timely article.

I do not mind criticizing the RCC or their leader.

I am concerned about the work of the Church of Jesus Christ. I am concerned about people's eternal destiny.

My point was that Damian Thompson has been writing commentary on the Church for a long time. So, whether he is a trained theologian or not, he has established a reputation, even if only as a commentator.
