Why would a church exclude someone when Jesus Himself loved all and came to save us all, regardless of our sin? Do some priests excuse themselves from communion if they have sinned?

The funny thing about Communion is that Jesus’ instructions were pretty clear and simple. My wife and I partake at home. It’s a very simple kinetic symbol of the foundational support of all of Christianity.

And ANY Christian, after examining himself, can partake.

ALL churches tend to add rules that are not actually in the bible. We all need to be on our guard to root it out when we see it.

Are you saying that Jesus would have allowed the woman at the well to partake in communion if she had married the man she was with?

;-)

yes, until they have received absolution from another priest.

-— Why would a church exclude someone when Jesus Himself loved all -—

What does love mean?

Desiring the highest and best for another. That excludes confirming them in their sin.
