Maybe he did. Or maybe this is another fishing expedition by the new accuser and his lawyer.
If I've read about this case, I've forgotten it. But it is common practice to remove a priest from duty whenever there is an accusation, whether likely or not, until it has been looked into. And if he was reinstated, then he was almost certainly found to be innocent of the earlier charge.
