Like I said I’ve known priests that can’t speak Latin and can only read what is required of them at Mass. Francis is only a priest and not a well educated priest at that. I heard he was a poor student in college. From what I can find out Francis can only speak two languages fluently, Spanish and Italian.

Priests, perhaps. Cardinals, however, are going to know Latin very well.

Francis is fluent in Spanish and Italian. He is not fluent in Latin and does not like to speak it. In public he speaks Spanish or Italian and it makes no difference what country he’s speaking in. He has never given a homily in Latin. If you find one on Youtube let me know. He also never sings during Mass, and never chants. This is a different pope we have here, that’s for certain.
