So are churches now adopting the consensus method for determining religious doctrine?

It has worked for science. Just ask Algore. No more scientific method. Just take a poll.

The Church has not adopted anything. The Synod has a long way to go. The pronouncements and announcements are designed to intimidate the participants and set the ground for defiance of the actual Synod by claiming that these announcements ARE the Synod. We have been through all this before. It is a huge organization with many many bishops, a tiny number of whom are apostate and heretic. That tiny number are also far and away the noisiest.

I’d guess that the bishops supporting this are the same ones encouraging lay people to distribute Communion; they apparently don’t believe in the Divine Presence, so what does it matter to them if people living in sin partake?
