No, that absolutely does not set the mental picture that we as physical humans cannot approach God (unless you are speaking about something like physically flying up to heaven in the flesh, and physically falling on the floors of heaven).
Earthly human prayers are expressed through thoughts (mental pictures) and vocalizations, and that does not at all say that we cannot approach God directly. That is a fiction.
