Unless someone is "racist," "sexist," or "homophobic." Or harms the environment. Or eats meat. Or doesn't like Obama. Or owns a gun. Or homeschools their kids. Or says something "insensitive." Etc., etc. Liberals have their own list of sins and commandments, and are extremely harsh about enforcing them.
Indeed, they have their own definitions of “sin”,
and of salvation, too, if you examine it.
Recycling, environmentalism, being pro-anything that God hates, etc.
