If flawed but does not sin or has sinned and repented, they should be treated like the rest of us sinners. “gay and proud of it” have no place in the church

There are several people on here that need removal from this thread. Mods must have the night off. Oh! I forgot, Catholics are fair game on here. Caucus or not!

Here is the problem . Your caucus threads are appearing in the "general population" of threads when anyone his "latest posts". Regular freepers don't know they have clicked on a "special" thread with "special" rules. Take it up with IT.

The word Catholic brings the swarm. I guess we will have to come up with different code names. Don't people generally take the time to read the ENTIRE article before beginning their sniping? Maybe they should.

I agree. it is not more acceptable then an unmarried heterosexual couple presenting themselves to the Church to have a child baptized.

They will be counseled that they can have the baby baptized but they need to cleanup their act.

The sticky part of this is a heterosexual can in most cases get married. But even if it's legal for a gay couple to get married they cannot make it moral in our eyes. Don't care how much they scream and cry about it. Adam and Steve CANNOT be married in the religious sense of the word married.

Have not talked to any of these offended parties, but how can a person claim to be truly Catholic and not understand that we just cannot change what is right and wrong and what has always been right or wrong just for them.

I fear this has more to do with an agenda than truly Catholic gays. I mean seriously!

Expand the Courage Apostolate into every diocese and every parish. Keep “Dignity” and rainbow-sashers far, far away.

Exactly what happened when it came time for my cousin to be baptized. My aunt did not attend the ceremony. It was the Priest, my parents (They were the Godparents) and my cousin.

For the sake of the child involved I would agree with how it was handled.

I think we all know people who want the spectacle and not the sacrament. Like Confirmation, I used to prepare kids for Confirmation, the kids that did not go to the Parish school. As well all know, the Bishop is the one who Confirms. The Bishop sets the Schedule. All to many times the parents were calling because we would get say a Wednesday night instead of a Saturday for our Confirmation. They were upset that they could not have a party, it would be to late in the evening. Priorities people! It's not First Communion or a Bar Mitzvah. It's Confirmation!

I can’t judge their souls, wouldn’t want to but I can judge their actions. I am friends with several homosexuals and they all know how I feel about it but I treat them with the respect that I would show anyone else and try to be an example. The word homosexuality never comes up, they would never think of telling me things I don’t want to hear. Maybe that is a cop out but that is how I handle it.
