Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

As always in our study of the Bible, we read the plain meaning of the text and consider it before delving into allegory or prophetic meaning. However, the comparison between this Passage in 1 Samuel about Blacksmithing, and Our Own Situation in America, struck a chord with me!

Some years ago, I needed a new toaster oven. I searched everywhere and could NOT find one made in the USA. I went without a toaster oven for a long time until I found a nearly new one at a yard sale for a dollar. It had still been "Made in China", but at least my money wasn't going there. The same has happened over the years with coffee-makers, vacuum cleaners, and electronics. My entire recording studio is made up of vintage parts that are from the era when the USA led the world in technology.

Household appliances and musical equipment aren't the real problem though. When planes crash because of cheap parts made in China, or cities are destroyed for lack of manufacturing jobs, it is bad enough, but when the very weapons that keep us safe and free are made by a nation whose government despises us, then we are in REAL trouble. By "outsourcing" the production of tools and weapons to the enemy, King Saul was setting his own people up for disaster.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

Hallelujah and Amen

ML/LTOS

So pertinent indeed ML. Just last night my husband was watching on the news the mortar shells that are now in the hands of the enemies were the ones that are made by the very company he works for. How sad. One wonders how our ammunition ends up in the hands of the very ones they were made to stop. LORD, we beseech thee. LORD, we Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem, Oh LORD of Heaven’s Army..we pray for our nation, we pray for our persecuted brothers and sisters, we pray for the grieving families of those who have been murdered and have to deal with the continuous stories and pictures be placed in the media so frequently. OH GOD, may THY COMFORT be a balm to each time their hurt is opened. Thank YOU.. Amen.

PRAYERS ASCENDING ON HIGH FOR
THE PEACE OF JERUSALEM!
And for the Preservation of the Valiant
Israeli Nation!

ND Samuel said to Saul, Thou
hast done foolishly: thou hast not
kept the commandment of the LORD
thy God, which he commanded thee:
for now would the LORD have
established thy kingdom upon Israel
for ever.
But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee.

And Samuel arose, and gat him up from Gilgal unto Gibeah of Benjamin. And Saul numbered the people that were present with him, about six hundred men.

And Saul, and Jonathan his son, and the people that were present with them, abode in Gibeah of Benjamin: but the Philistines encamped in Michmash.

And the spoilers came out of the camp of the Philistines in three companies: one company turned unto the way that leadeth to Ophrah, unto the land of Shual:

And another company turned the way to Bethhoron: and another company turned to the way of the border that looketh to the valley of Zeboim toward the wilderness.

Now there was no smith found throughout all the land of Israel: for the Philistines said, Lest the Hebrews make them swords or spears:

But all the Israelites went down to the Philistines, to sharpen every man his share, and his coulter, and his axe, and his mattock.

Yet they had a file for the mattocks, and for the coulters, and for the forks, and for the axes, and to sharpen the goads.

So it came to pass in the day of battle, that there was neither sword nor spear found in the hand of any of the people that were with Saul and Jonathan: but with Saul and with Jonathan his son was there found.

And the garrison of the Philistines went out to the passage of Michmash.

Lifting up all God’s people, left that other side.

The poor workmanship and outsourcing are signs of the times.

Prayers for Israel and our beloved America.

THANK YOU FOR THIS PERSPECCTIVE, IT IS “right on”.

IT IS MADNESS INDEED, letting those that are against us to make our weapons of War, etc.

Prayer as a nation is powerful and what we are to do. We have much to repent for as a nation.

Famine, war, pestilence are from God for evil actions. (Not following the instructions of God to not do evil according to HIM.)

We know God can do anything, is anything too hard for Him? NO!

Prayers for the peace of Israel, Jerusalem, the lost, the captives, the persecuted believers, and for all men of good will, in Jesus name, amen.
