I think it makes as much sense to say he was married as to say he was not, at least in terms of what evidence is offered in the Bible. What I find interesting is that people find the notion so strange that he might have been married, as if contact with a wife is somehow defiling.

How? A married Jesus would have been...married, No? No reason not to present him as such.

A negative cannot be the proof or basis for an argument

Good comments. Few Christians know that the Jews who arrested Jesus violated all the Judaic criminal laws in his arrest and prosecution.

There’s a Sherlock Holmes story in which a dog doesn’t bark, thereby giving away the dog’s owner. For a Jewish Rabbi not to be married would be a serious fault and unheard of in rabbinical tradition. What’s the one thing the Jewish leaders didn’t accuse Jesus of?

Strawman. That isn’t the issue. The objection to Christ being married isn’t that marriage or sex is a sin but that it would have been selfish for him to leave a wife and children which would have been a sin.

So do I. The possibility that a lot of us (maybe most of us after so much time) have the blood and DNA of Jesus as part of our ancestry is uplifting and spiritually a positive thought.

I agree, there is a long stretch in the Bible on Jesus’ life we know nothing about including if he was married or not. I would say it’s entirely possible he was not only married but had children we know noting of.
Most people may not know this but there are a number of the Gospels that were not included in the final version of the Bible. Those might shed more light on Jesus life.

If he had been married my Sunday School teacher would have told me.
