I too have met many nice people who happen to be Muslims.  But as a Christian, I am bound to a Christian view of spiritual reality.  The fact is, for Mohammed to come up with the bitterly anti-Christian theology he did, if indeed he received it from a supernatural being, that being was almost certainly either Satan or one of Satan's emissaries. Consider Paul's "uncivil" language on a similar topic:

Gal 1:6-9  I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:  (7)  Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.  (8)  But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.  (9)  As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

It's a double curse. He says it twice. And he says it to them directly and honestly, not because he desires conflict and rancor, but because he loves them in Jesus. When sharing the Gospel with the lost, conflict is inevitable. Lost sinners believe false things. We are to speak the truth in love, and with well-considered speech, but we are to be truthful.

Nevertheless, I agree in principle it is probably not the best opening move to start with the idea that they are operating under a satanically originated false gospel.  Paul had a well established framework with the Galatians. When a Christian is in the early stages of befriending a Muslim, it is probably much better to begin sharing the Gospel with them, introducing them to Jesus as He is correctly represented in the New Testament, as opposed to the false and diminished view of Him in the Koran. God's Spirit will awaken them through the preaching of His word, so it is better to trust in that than to try and browbeat them into accepting more difficult truths they are not ready to hear. Besides, any person who is lost is following some satanic lie. It's just a question of which one. So there's nothing unique in that, and little to be gained by pointing it out too soon in the conversation. Wise as serpents, harmless as doves.

Peace,

SR

SR:

1. Can you visualize a REASON why Mohammad was so bitterly anti-Christian? If you knew your history you MIGHT be more understanding of it.

2. And, are you positive that it could ONLY have been Lucifer who spoke to Mohammad?

3. Are YOU privy to ALL of God's plans?

I will continue to TRY to be a good Catholic and NOT trash another's religion as Satanic.
I won't judge people by anything other that their actions. If those people WORSHIP Lucifer, then I judge them by that. They worship the Prince of Evil and will end up like him, eternity without God, in other words, HELL.

If they worship God as Allah or one of the Hindu pantheons, I won't TRASH them either.

The Muslims I knew deserved to be treated like the gentlemen they acted as. We lived and worked in THEIR country. We didn't HAVE to be there.

BTW, the Saudis NEVER hired Hindus since they were NOT "people of the Book." They hired on Christian and Muslim Indians.

Peace, wa salaaam.
