If you've been baptized and believe that Christ is your Savior, than you are united to the Catholic Church, which is the Body of Christ, but imperfectly.
I guess I DO have SOMETHING to be thankful for!
If you've been baptized and believe that Christ is your Savior,I fixed it. Well thanks goodness for the "impefectly" part.than you are united to the Catholic Church, which is the Body of Christ but imperfectly, then you are a part of the BIBLICAL Body of Christ.
To be "perfectly" united to the Catholic denomination and it's strange Mormon, JW and Islamic etc like "we are the only true religion" apparent belief would make me an apostate to Christianity.
The Catholic Church (the denomination known as Catholicism) is not the Body of Christ.
Making the Catholic church the ONLY way to a relationship with Jesus Christ is anathema to all that Jesus taught.
Following in the footsteps of the Pharisees will not help you have that personal born again relationship with Jesus.
Christianity is based on a relationship with God through Jesus, not a denomination touted (by some of the posters here on the RF) as the ONLY way to be part of the Body of Christ (Oh except "imperfectly" oh my that is so unBiblical!)
That's why Jesus came, to get the simple message across that the Exalted Ones missed by focusing on themselves and their "righteousness" and "perfection" instead of keeping their eyes on God and His Messiah.
It seems to have gone full circle.
