“This do in remembrance of me.” wasn’t said by multi colored skulls.

Cool.

I really don’t see any difference in that kind of veneration (honor) and kissing a coffin at a funeral. Some people even kiss the gravestones of their loved ones at graveyards when they visit them.

Just because the remains are visibly exposed is kind of immaterial. IMO. Your mileage may vary.

I guess I or my Church might be be called names now but so be it. I’m not too concerned anymore what some people on the Internet think of my faith. No offense.

Thanks for the pics though.

Some people have real difficulty when they see it before them in black and white.

The word east, dawn, the rising sun, son is a basic human observation that has nothing to do with a pantheon of gods answer put together by a religion that has an ax to grind with another religion.

Some accept kissing the empty shell of a dead spouse, parent or child at the funeral. It’s something else altogether to chop off a piece and “bedazzle” it with gems, perhaps to send around to friends and family.

In fact, most sane societies would lock up those who do such things.

Josh 24: The bones of Joseph, which the Israelites had brought along with them when they left Egypt, were buried at Shechem, in the parcel of ground Jacob had bought from the sons of Hamor for 100 pieces of silver. This land was located in the territory allotted to the descendants of Joseph.

>>Why should that matter?<<

It matters because the concept of "canonized saint" is not scriptural. Do you not understand that the apostles called all believers saints?

Joseph didn’t want to be buried in exhile. They took his bones and buried them in a tomb in the promised land.

Modern day catholics would not have buried his bones as he wished. They would make furnishings or light fixtures out of some of them. They would cover the rest in precious metals and gemstones smooch them and bow down before them.

Ezekiel 37

1 The hand of the LORD was upon me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the LORD and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. 2 He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry.

3 He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?”

I said, “O Sovereign LORD, you alone know.”

4 Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the LORD! 5 This is what the Sovereign LORD says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. 6 I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’ “

7 So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. 8 I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them.

9 Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe into these slain, that they may live.’ “

10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet—a vast army.

11 Then he said to me: “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They say, ‘Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off.’ 12 Therefore prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: O my people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel. 13 Then you, my people, will know that I am the LORD, when I open your graves and bring you up from them. 14 I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the LORD have spoken, and I have done it, declares the LORD.’ “

Here we go again....

Church tribunal found Head Priest guilty of abusing Dominican boys.....Vatican has placed a former 'ambassador' ..Jozef Wesolowski under 'house arrest' while he faces charges for "serious acts of abuse of minors."....accused of molesting young boys during his stint as "the pope's official representative" in the Dominican Republican....... It is the 'first time' a top Vatican ambassador has faced such charges.

The clincher....he's "suffering from a documented illness"....so must have house..a-rest..at the vatican. Watch this whole thing be another cover-up as it's definately doing already.

'Pressure' had been building on the Vatican to proceed with criminal charges against him after he'd been seen walking freely about Rome. ...Poland had reportedly asked for the archbishop's extradition.....Then the UN also urged the Vatican to move swiftly on Wesolowski

Of course the Vatican said....his arrest "is a result of the express desire of the Pope". (to keep it under the Vatican's control)

The word east, dawn, the rising sun, son is a basic human observation that has nothing to do with a pantheon of gods answer put together by a religion that has an ax to grind with another religion.

So I am to believe that ALL the days of the week are named for pagan gods, all the months of the year are named for pagan gods, but EAST, pointing to the morning star Venus (Eostre, the dawn godess), is not named after a pagan god?

And not only that, but the rites attached to that goddess are just coincidentally still practiced, virtually unchanged, but somehow invented whole cloth from another source?

Your position strains credulity. See syncretism, which the Roman church readily admits to. Your tradition comes from them.

Willing to pick at others’ denominations but not willing to say what your own is. I would call that a dishonest conversation.

1 Corinthians 1:12-13 What I mean is that each one of you says, “I follow Paul,” or “I follow Apollos,” or “I follow Cephas,” or “I follow Christ.” Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?

Denominations are not the body of Christ. one's denominational affiliation is not important when one follows Christ. I can worship anywhere from Baptist to Pentecostal and I do.

Nope. The word ‘sun’ will precede a religion about a ‘sun’.

Why?

Because the tower of Babel came after the flood, and they all had the common language handed down from Noah, and the languages were scrambled at Babel.

And Noah already had a word for sun....and he didn’t think the sun was god. Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

What church someone chooses to attend is none of your business unless ‘they choose’ to say so...or for that matter if they do or do not align with any denomination...there are many churches that are not mainstream....and many that have broken away from them after "World Council of Churches" began their push.

and he brought me out by the Spirit of the LORD and set me in the middle of a valley

Let me try to explain this in simple terms.

God took Ezekiel in the “SPIRIT.” This was a “VISION.”

God did not lead Ezekiel into a charnel house to play with human remains.

I sincerely hope you're not a coroner or a mortician. You seem awfully creepy!

My guess is that he’s Jehovah’s Witness/Christadelphians or something like that because he’s embarrassed to identify. They like the word ecclesia, too.

Is he Trinitarian?

....”I really don’t see any difference in that kind of veneration and kissing a coffin at a funeral”.....

We don’t dig our loved ones up after we bury them.....dress them, and pull out their body parts for display so others can look at them. ....BIG difference!

Jesus said...”Bury” the dead”....I think he meant that.

Joseph died two hundred years before in Egypt, but he gave commandment concerning his bones, that they should not rest in a grave, 'till Israel rested in the land of promise≤/b>

Hebrews 11:22 By faith Joseph, when he died, made mention of the departing of the children of Israel; and gave commandment concerning his bones.

One would think a pastor would have known that and that it could not possibly be related to what Catholics do.
