You just hate the Church..

Everyday at mass they pray for the Martyrs. The Pope has met with so many Martyred Families. He sent Money and Envoys it is Catholic Charities that helps them in Syria Iraq Lebanon Egypt Pakistan Indonesia Kenya Uganda... Liberia burindi. etc

The Knights of Columbus Donated $1 million

Last night at the Cathedral they had a Day dedicated to Praying for the Persecuted.Even in China where they Tore down the Cathedral in a diocese.

Dolan’s treachery is especially galling considering the suffering fellow Catholics are enduring around the world. The coward could not even stand up to defend a simple parade. How would he deal with a night of long knives?

Seems like what the American Catholics need is a strong central authority to stop the multiple doctrines being promoted from the various bishops.... Oh wait a minute, that is supposed to be happening now. /sarcasm

It’s for reasons like this I view various proclamations on FR by various Catholic schematics (not you) with some sympathy. There’s no One Holy Catholic Church in the United States. There are various dioceses who may or may not be teaching the same doctrine.

Absolutely. That door was opened at Vatican II. Eventually others will get this fact.

I wouldn’t say “abandoned”, I’d say that having at least one friend who’ll tell you in confidence if you’re about to do something really stupid should be a requirement for episcopal consecration.
