As a Catholic, I was Baptized about 2 weeks into this life. I did not really have a choice, as my biggest physical function was to push out a steamer.

I was born again when I learned what my faith was, and confirmed that with my Confirmation.

The problem involved here is this: Catholics believe “born again” is a process wheras protestants believe it is an event. The truth is it can be both. It can be an event which leads to the process of salvation. or it can be a process that leads to the factual “event” of salvation. One is not exclusive of the other.

I don’t think it matters so much about the order of the water baptism....just as long as the Spirit has at some point made you a child of God in “spirit and in truth”.
