Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

There are so many references to Archery, Bow and Arrow, and Quivers in the Holy Bible, that even this abbreviated list is too long!

Even on this shortened list, the majority of the references have to do with Warfare, not Hunting.

Ishmael, who the Muslims consider their progenitor, was the son of Abraham by Hagar, an Egyptian handmaiden. Although she was exiled from the camp of the Hebrews, she was told that 12 Princes would come from her son. But she was also told that he would be a wild man who would "live in the face of his brothers". It is very possible that our English idiom "In Your Face" comes from this reference.

The fact that Ishmael became an Archer is a nearly certain reference that he became a Man of War. Context and History bears this out.

THE PEACE OF JERUSALEM!
And for the Preservation of the Valiant
Israeli Nation!

They are Orthodox and Catholic, Protestant and Evangelical, Coptic, Pentecostal, and Baptist. To the persecutors, we are all "Nazarenes."
