Can’t do it without Jesus.
RARELY does one hear Osteen even mention our Savior. Instead we are encouraged to gaze at our bellybuttons.
Curious. At the end of EVERY service, Joel invites people to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior and prays the prayer with them to revive Jesus.
Maybe you should take a closer look at his services and ministry at Lakewood before joining the forces of darkness in not only accusing the brethren but attacking God’s anointed.
Nobody’s prefect and nobody fits in everyone’s mold. But hulagirl and the Bible both plead with God’s people to stop condemning other Christians. If Joel is not your cup of tea, move on, but be careful about attacking God’s anointed.
I used to think he was a “good-time Charlie.” Then one day about seven years ago it seemed like the Lord plopped them right in front of me and said, “Listen to them.” Once I did, I began to change from an incredibly negative Christian to a happy, joyful Christian, for all the reasons you describe in your post. You give good reasons for our joy and so does Joel. God has not called Joel to be a teacher but an encourager, an absolutely valid and needed ministry in the Body of Christ.
