Sometime on Saturday night, vandals attacked three Christian houses of worship in Columbus, Indiana, spray-painting the word "infidels" and citations of verses from the Koran on the outer walls.
St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Lakeview Church of Christ, and East Columbus Christian Church all had the word "infidels" spray-painted on them, in places of prominence to be seen by worshipers.
Cited in the Indianapolis Star, Columbus police spokesperson Matt Harris said that church employees discovered the vandalism when they arrived to prepare for Sunday services.
At St. Bartholomew, the words "Qur'an 3:151" were also left.
That verse reads:
We will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve for what they have associated with Allah of which He had not sent down [any] authority. And their refuge will be the Fire, and wretched is the residence of the wrongdoers.
Speaking to WTHR, Channel 13, the Columbus NBC affiliate, associate pastor Father Doug Marcotte said, "It is certainly not a warm and fuzzy verse. It talks about the infidels, their refuge being the fire."
There was no Koran verse painted on the Lakeview Church but "Qu'ran 19:88" was left on East Columbus Christian Church....

We will cast terror into the hearts ...
the perps may not be the typical run-of-the-mill middle easterner:
police can’t determine if a hate crime occurred.
as long as we have bad law it better be applied to the other side.
This is starting to scare the shit out of me.
Twice, in the last week, I have encountered two different, black (head only) veiled women in retail establishments. Both times I felt (to put it mildly) uncomfortable and frankly became extremely aware of my surroundings, what they had in their carts; and the positioning of their hands, etc.
In the past, in my area, I have seen (possibly the same women) but their head scarves were printed (matching colors) to their outfits. For some reason the bright (colorful) headscarves never quite gave me the visceral reaction I had TWICE in the last week or so.
Am I that influenced by bright colors or am I tuning into a more ominous vibe?
I live in an eastern suburb of Pittsburgh. I do see a lot of scarves (and the rare full hajib) in the cities Oakland (where the universities are located) section. Out here in the burbs, the random color coordinated headscarves (usually w/high end Coach type purses)....uneventful and blend in w/other shoppers.
The solid, heavy black scarves just seemed odd and out of place. I can’t explain but the visual (and my honest reaction) was just different.
Look for more to happen.
Here in CT I see here and there from time to time the head coverings and long robes from time to time while I go food shopping.
Yet for years now Americans have been buying more guns and ammo.
Time to stand up to them.
Expect more to be seen.
Mind your language, please; there are ladies present.
islam is so popular among criminals in general and felons in particular because it is steeped in violence and hatred, which they know and understand and embrace.
