Yazidis Haunted by Cries for Help as Militants Bury Victims Alive

Refugee Samo Ilyas Ali has nine children to feed but he can't focus on the future because the sounds of women and children crying out for help while being buried alive by Islamic State militants in northern Iraq often consume his mind.

Tens of thousand of Yazidis fled their ancient homeland of Sinjar and other villages to escape a dramatic push by the Sunni militants who regard the ethnic minority as devil worshippers who must embrace their radical version of Islam or die.

The refugees sit idle in camps in the semi-autonomous Kurdish region in northern Iraq.

Traumatized by Islamic State militants notorious for beheadings and mass executions, they have simply given up on Iraq and want to go as far away as possible; to countries like Germany, worlds away from their mysterious customs.

U.S. air strikes against Islamic State positions and vows by Kurdish commanders to recapture Yazidi villages provided no reassurances.

It's easy to see why.

Ten days ago, Ali and his fellow villagers were suddenly surrounded by Islamic State militants with machine guns at night. They had long beards. Some had face masks and Arabic writing on the sides of their heads.

Japanese soldiers buried chinese children alive in Nagking—no war crimes trials held after WW II-—I hope some of those awful Japanese soldiers heard the screams in their dreams for the rest of their days. There was a time when the USA would send in the Marines at this sort of outrage! We will face God’s wrath for electing Obama—its coming and it will not be nice. When we are moaning in our loss and pain—remember the people who died in far away Iraq—people we could have saved.

We deserve it; for some reason Obama was elected twice over and for all our whining, we weren’t really supportive of what we DID have to work with. We keep waiting for an ideal to come along, but that isn’t going to happen. We should start being as dirty as the Democrats when it comes to protecting our team members.

Although I knew exactly the evil that was coming, there are some close to me who voted for Obama purely out of ignorance. Although that in itself is no excuse, and God does not consider it one, I’m reminded of the phrase “forgive them Lord, for they know not what they do”. Those who voted for Obama will have to answer to God for it some day. But are they guilty of complacency or complicity? God knows.

He should have spent more.

They said the same thing about FDR’s reaction to the depression.

It’s not horseshit. Look it up. I remember reading article after article on here about Christians fleeing for their lives into Syria from Iraq. I also recall reading articles on here about the US under Bush rebuilding mosques while they were burning Churches.

Now I am certainly not saying he is anywhere close to as bad as Obama, but the Christians in that part of the world have been thrown under the bus for the sake of “Islam is a religion of peace” that we have heard from Republicans and Democrats, including Bush.

Iraqi Christians prayed for the war in Iraq, Bush went all over the US speaking of bringing Freedom to the Iraqi people prior to the war, during the buildup.

The Christian Iraqi`s thanked Bush for coming to Iraq, He never left Iraq, Obama did.

Just occurred to me...I understand you are not a Bush supporter and that is your right, but you are actually damning the US Military by your comments. George Bush did not manage the war, he allowed his officers on the ground, Generals etc to manage the actual fighting.

When the US military heard of Christians on the ground in Iraq being persecuted killed etc, the military immediately dispatched soldiers to the scene. so to suggest they stood by while atrocities took place is offensive to the good men and women of the US Military.

So try and not let your dislike of George Bush to lead to bearing false witness.

I’m not going to do a back and forth with you about Bush because quite frankly, it doesn’t matter now. That’s in the past. We have to deal with now.

I am not damping the US military at all. I would NEVER do that. You’re a drama queen and have your panties in a wad because I spoke the truth and you don’t like it.

YOU are one to talk about bearing false witness against someone when that is EXACTLY what you are doing to me. Your outrageous claim that I am somehow “damning the military” because I don’t like the way the Bush administration handled the Iraq war is just that; outrageous.

The FACT remains that Christians were fleeing Iraq into Syria during the Bush administration. Deal with it.

Having said all that, I would trade Obama for him back everyday of the week and twice on Sunday.

Now....... buzz off.

I was not really defending Bush that much , just that you were trying to re write history and regardless of how imperfect he may be, he went in to help all Iraqi`s, he was courageous, went with the surge against all odds against the advice of his Generals.

Bush was NOT on the ground but left the management of the war to the Commanders on the ground, yes lots of bad things happened because of terrorists, The US military gave it`s all to help all Iraqi`s

So yes you are damning the US Military when you say that atrocities went un answered.

BTW I read your previous posts last night and you are forever having nasty fights with people

You said that the wonderful Christian Dr that had Ebola, and you added a blanket statement that all Christian missionaries should stay home in the US??

That`s not for you to say, these are individuals that went to Africa etc because they felt called by God .

Your comments were ludicrous, you do not come across as a very nice person I am sorry to say.

I will pray for you...oh and to be sure it was not just a comment unfulfilled

Dear Heavenly Father be merciful to me a sinner, thank you Jesus for dying on the cross for my sins, thank you for being my Lord and saviour, forgive me for upsetting Lil Flower,Flood her with your Love Lord Jesus, May Your Spirit bare witness with her spirit, fill her with the baptism of The Holy Spirit, give her peace. I ask this in Jesus Precious Name

AMEN

I think you hit the nail on the head with your assessment concerning their religious affiliation.

The other reason you might think about involves what the Yezidies may look like. I am thinking if they are about 3 feet tall and weigh about 250 pounds and have purple hair it could well be they think it would be great to bring them here as refugees and add them to our “diverse mix” of cultures, religions and ethnicities.

Militants??? REALLY??? Look how ludicrous that headline is. It should read: “Yazidis Haunted by Cries for Help as SAVAGES Bury Victims Alive”.

.............

Muslim extremists would work, too.
