Sounds like harassment. You’d fit right in with the the Texans for Public Justice crowd.

Arguing politics and religion are futile at the best of times.
I really don’t care what an atheist thinks or believes as long as they do not try to impose their belief or lack thereof upon me.
In the end, none of us knows what will happen. I choose to believe in God. That is MY truth.
Each of us will at some point face their choice and the consequences thereof.

There, that's much better than empty threats of violence.

I agree. Nobody knows the answer.

I haven’t seen it yet.
Although I am a believer, I am not in good graces with God at the moment. He took my beautiful wife on July 15th.

But I’m wondering... did He take her, or did He accept her into His kingdom.

Nonetheless, I can’t help but wonder what I have done... or what she had done... to deserve her being taken from me. They say those are normal thoughts, though.

We lost my Father a couple of months ago and the grieving process has not been easy for my family – especially my Mother.

Our prayers are with you.

I think the haters should take the advise of Phil Robertson:

A man was saying ‘godd**m’ left and right.
Phil asked the man if everyone is going to die?
Man said yes, of course.
Phil said why would you curse the only One that can save you from that death?

sometimes we have to really work hard at loving those who hate us enough to slaughter us by the millions. Give us a break atheists.

Jesus also said to love your enemy, I have no problem with that because love just means to do unto them as you would have them do unto you, give them a drink if they are thirsty, or feed them if they are hungry.

I do not love them in any other way.

I watched the movie. The arguments for God and against atheism are well-presented. I did have problems with the basic premise of the movie that a college professor would require a statement of belief in order to pass his course. I have taken courses from heathen profs and there was always a way to learn the material and phrase things so that it was obvious I had learned the arguments and understood the subject, but never did I have to state such was my own personal belief.

Of course, I don’t have exhaustive information on what happens at all campuses everywhere. I’m speaking from my own personal experience growing up in a college town, knowing professors and their families for many years and my own experiences in university.

It was a decent movie but nothing great.

The atheists I’ve known have been low self esteemed haters.
And ironically, many of them do find religion once they face a life threatening crisis.

As the saying goes: "There are no atheists in a foxhole.:

Our prayers are with you.

Your poor mother. SHE is the main sufferer.
We can't choose our parents, siblings or children but we CHOOSE our life-mates and friends. There IS no closer bond, I think, than husband-wife.

I will say prayers for your mother. God bless her and give her strength, patience and peace.

Some day, she WILL smile and laugh again.

I too am a believer with a strong faith. My beloved husband went home to the Lord in June, just a few weeks before your wife.

They are both home. They are both in the presence of our most blessed Redeemer and friend. We are temporarily separated from them and left in this fallen world without them for a little while. But, our blessed hope is that we will also be with the Lord. He gave her to you, and him to me as a small, imperfect reflection of the love that He has for each of us. And now that they are with Him, we need to seek the love of Jesus even more.

The hurt is strong, oh, so very strong that some days it is so hard to bear, but Christ Jesus is the balm of Gilead. A most perfect balm. You and I have to hang on to the truth that all things work together to conform us into the image of the Son. Even this. I think as we look back at this, we will see that this is more true than we can know right now.

And, the grief is but a smidgeon of the grief that Jesus had when He knew He would be separated from the Father for a brief time. No wonder He sweat drops of blood. But He did it for His bride. Our grief is trifle compared to His. And ours is at times, overwhelming. Oh, what love our triune God has for His children!

That was so comforting lupie. You expressed your empathy in the best way I’ve ever seen. God bless and keep you.

Thank you WV. I don’t know how people get through this without the Lord.
