Why Can't Gay Activists Tolerate People Who Are No Longer Practicing Homosexuals?
The Christian Post ^ | 8/12/14 | Matt Moore

Over the last few days I've written a couple of columns such as, Parents of Gay Kids, Stop Beating Yourself Up, It's Not Your Fault and Why I Hate The Word Gay, But Still Use It.

I'm not surprised that there are a lot of people out there that have incredibly different views than the ones I express in my columns…. because I used to have incredibly different views than ones I express in these columns. Five years ago I scoffed at the (then to me) laughably ludicrous idea of homosexual behavior being sinful. But now my views have changed. My perceptions of sexuality, ultimate authority (it belongs to God, not me) and reality have changed.

I woke up this morning to some tweets bashing me and my beliefs… again. According to some of the gay bloggers and editors of other gay publishing outlets I'm an "Anti-gay-but-still-gay, self hating, internalizing homophobe that listens to QUEEN."

The "left".. the "gays".. the "liberals"… whatever you want to call them… claim that tolerance and respect are the key to a flourishing society, but why can't they tolerate me? Why can't they tolerate my views?

You have no sin? Wow!

Well, no one has no sin. I lied once - I told a very elderly blind lady that she looked beautiful. And, then there was the time that I gave a girl scout two dollars too much for a box of cookies and when she told me I had overpaid, I told her that she was mistaken (even though I knew I overpaid).

Having confessed, I now feel better about things. Thanks.

Perhaps you’re humble to a fault?

Yes, sinfully humble, I’m afraid. But, I haven’t given up on myself yet.

Don’t forget about that time when you said you were wrong when you were really right! ;o)

There are two basic kinds of repentence.

One kind has to do with the person’s relationship and communication with other people.

The other kind has to do with the person’s relationship and communication with God.

The second kind is very different.
