Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Here are two Scripture passages that seem to have no relationship with one another, except that they both mention the "Antelope".
The Passage from Deuteronomy is a list of animals that are permitted for food. The Passage from Isaiah is a Metaphor for the Horrors of War.

In both cases, the Antelope is a wild creature that is subject to being hunted for food. The People of Israel were permitted to HUNT, but NEVER to "Scavenge", ie: eat meat that had died on its own. From the Isaiah Passage, it would seem that the Israelites used nets and snares for hunting the permitted animals. This is borne out in other Biblical passages as well. Sin is often called a "Snare" in Scripture, And the Antelope caught in a net is a wonderful picture of a lovely wild, free creature brought down and trapped into captivity, soon to meet death, for falling into the snare of sin.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen
