I propose the we continue to support qualified conservative female and minority candidates (Like Shannon, Zeldin, ect.) when they run and encourage such people *to* run, rather than sticking our head in the sand and pretending that only the message matters and not the messenger, as Mark Levin and several people on this thread seem to believe.
That’s what I was responding to, the attitude of “No Jewish Republicans in Congress but tons of Jewish rats? Well, so what? Who cares? Doesn’t matter!!”
Politics, unfortunately perhaps, is about people as well as ideas. More female faces and non-white faces ect. amongst our elected officials can only help the conservative movement and the Republican party. That’s all.

Impy, you hit the nail on the head. We need to know the value of good PR and the more Republican women and minorities we have, the better we’ll do from a PR standpoint. Look at how the left attacked Sarah Palin. They were scared of her. Because she was so high-profile, she was an obvious target. It would be harder for the msm to attack a lower-profile target in most circumstances.
DJ said it best a few years back, we can’t win elections by being the party of white men alone and we can’t implement conservative ideas without winning elections.
