The good thing about it is that it tends to "contain and restrict" the gene pool. If it is a behavior brought on by genetics, then they will not be passed forward, the phenomenon will thusly eliminate itself. If it does proceed and develop, then it is not genetic, it is behavioral and a deviant behavior.
