I did not read the entire statement.

Are they angry at this nun for preaching sexuality that is against the teachings of the Catholic Church? Does that mean that she was saying pedophilia is bad? Or is it good. I cannot figure it out sometimes, based on the teachings of the church it is bad. But then, when the priests do it...they act as if it no big deal.

One bishop's decision may embarrass you but it should not be the source of shame for your faith. If anything, it should prompt you to pray for him.

The other poster was writing a quick, understandably emotional response. He probably doesn't really feel shame for the faith per se, but for the deplorable fallen nature of some of the bishops and priests.

This is why I believe putting up trump card words like ‘credentials’, ‘training’, ‘experience’ means nothing. A bad idea is still bad even if a credentialed, trained, experienced person is peddling it.
