I am not an expert in Roman Catholicism, but I’m pretty sure the actuvity that led to the nun being with child is not smiled upon.

Yeah except for frogs and Komodo dragons (who birth only female clones ) you don’t see many virgin births these days.

I AM wondering how long she has been in the nun business.
I can’t escape the feeling that the bast part of the story hasn’t been reported on. Just sayin’.

geeee, wonder how that happened?

She had “no idea” she was pregnant. O K A Y, of course she doesn’t know. She just “fell pregnant” as the Brits like to say.
To: Mad Dawg
Poor woman. It’s possible that she is very sheltered and innocent, or she may be mentally challenged. Or both.

no virgin birth here...wasn't it an (medieval) R/C practice to have rich, (childless)
celibate priests; to help finance the order....but, they too are human.

If you did see a virgin birth in a human the child would always be female, a clone of the mother.
It is theoretically possible that this has happened due to some freak occurrence - an ovum being hit by naturally occurring radiation or some such - but the child would always be a girl. It is the male that supplies the gender of the child.
It is interesting she named the baby after the Pope at least she didn’t name it Francis Junior.
All laughs aside. I am glad mother and baby are OK. Sin is sin and all sin forgivable. she is not the first nun to have a moral lapse. I’ve certainly had my share of those

yes, she’s not as convincing as Mary.......a Jewish friend says that Virgin Births only happen to Jewish women (because, he says, they don’t like sex)
