My Irish American/Swamp Yankee grandparents attended a Lebanese Church in Quincy Massachusetts.

That would be a Maronite Catholic Church. There are 7 Maronite Churches in MA: Brockton, Springfield, Lawrence, New Bedord, Fall River, Jamaica Plain and Worcester.

I am Roman Catholic but, like your grandparents, also attend a Maronite Church. The liturgy is older than that of the Latin Church, tracing its heritage to the city of Antioch where Peter served as bishop before proceeding to Rome.

No this was actually Lebanese in the sense of a Polish, German or Italian parish. The priest was RC but of Lebanese birth and he spoke and said one or two masses in Arabic. I did attend a Maronite parish while at Fort Bragg. Why a Maronite Rite church would be located in Fayetteville NC I have no clue but there it was and I attended the Saturday evening Mass.

I think the one in Brockton is closed...actually I think the entire city may close shortly aside from the relief agencies and VC clinics.
