For two thousand years, Christians have been reaching out to people and sharing the Gospel. Why, now, is it suddenly necessary to retool the Bible and give it a politically-correct, “diversity-is-our-strength!” roster so that people will deign to consider it? I’m sorry. I’m not having it. It’s impossible to improve on what God inspired.
Do we really think that people will refuse to watch because the people in the region were olive-skinned Jews? Wouldn’t that be anti-Semitic? Maybe Schindler’s List should be remade with a black and Asian cast. It’s just absurd, once you go down that path.
As for Roma Downey....autumnraine, you say Obama is a “non-loving Christian.” Do you really believe he is one just because he says he is? He supports partial birth abortion, voted to let infants die in a closet if they somehow made it past an abortion alive, he despises Israel, supports queers and queer marriage....is that a Christian to you? Where on earth is the discernment and righteous judgement the Bible says Christians should have?
Roma Downey has a degree in New Age “spiritual psychology” from the University of Santa Monica. She was on one of those Crossing Over shows where she tried to “channel” the spirit of a dead loved one with the help of a psychic medium. She is a devotee of New Age guru Eckhart Tolle, who was pushed by Oprah Winfrey, and who denies the Bible and the divinity of Jesus. And she just visited Obama in the White House. Cozy.
Downey calling Obama a fellow Christian makes her out to be either a fool or a liar. I tend to think it’s the former, since anyone wrapped up in such nonsense, anti-Christian mumbo-jumbo garbage likely wouldn’t know the difference.
But a conservative and a Freeper should be a lot smarter than that.
