I believe that Christian was first used in Acts. I do not remember ever seeing Catholic being used in the Bible. I do think I read it was used in the first century. My memory is not what it used to be.

We were first called Christian at Antioch:

And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch. - Acts 11:26
