Of course, St Jude quotes from — or, at least alludes to — the Book of Enoch in verses 14-15 of the penultimate New Testament epistle, as follows:

What I think we can be looking at this book is that it could be inspired the way a christian book by a believer is today. But it is not scripture but still can touch our spirit. The Early church fathers maybe saw this because why would it even be considered. I remember I read this so many years ago but do not remember the whole writing. Interesting though. This sounds to me like the place referred to as Tartarus, where certain fallen angels were imprisoned after the flood.
