Your Barcode, Please
The Omega Letter ^ | June 9, 2012 | Jack Kinsella

In 2004, the Food and Drug Administration approved an implantable chip technology known as the Verichip for implantation in human beings. According to the FDA, VeriChip could be implanted in a person’s body and scanned for electronic information.

Since 2006, new U.S. passports include radio frequency identification tags (RFID) that store all the information in the passport, as well as a digital picture of the owner.

In June 2007, the American Medical Association declared that "implantable radio frequency identification" (RFID) devices may help to identify patients, thereby improving the safety and efficiency of patient care, and may be used to enable secure access to patient clinical information.

Production of VeriChip was mysteriously discontinued in 2010 when a connection was made between the implantable Verichip and cancer in test rats. When the report was released, Verichip's stock dropped 40%.

In 2010, VeriChip officially changed their name to "PositiveID" but discontinued marketing the product for now.

Biotech company MicroCHIPS has developed an implantable chip to deliver medicine to people on schedule and without injection. But the problem with RFID chips is that they are vulnerable to hackers.

Consequently, the technology company BIOPTid has patented a noninvasive method of identification called the “human barcode.”

Barcode technology has been in use since the early 1970's. Barcodes were developed into the Universal Product Code symbol and have been on every product purchased worldwide for decades.

There are so many different kinds today for so many uses that it would be pointless to try and list them all. Instead, find something that DOESN'T have a barcode.

If you go to the hospital, the wristband has a barcode. Maybe it has your name, but all the important information is embedded in the barcode.

If you bought it, there will be a barcode on it somewhere. Everything you purchase at retail has a barcode on it.

I can buy movie tickets online and flash a barcode on my iPhone at the theater. Amazon has just released a mobile barcode app for making "one click" Amazon purchases.

PayPal quickly followed suit with a method for using PayPal to make bricks-and-mortar purchases.

Here's how that would work. You take your purchase to the counter, whip out your phone, log in to your PayPal account, let the cashier scan the barcode displayed by the app, and you're all done.

Last week, science fiction author Elizabeth Moon gave an interview to the BBC in which she advocated the idea of using barcodes instead and barcoding each baby at birth.

“I would insist on every individual having a unique ID permanently attached — a barcode if you will — an implanted chip to provide an easy, fast inexpensive way to identify individuals,” she said on "The Forum".

"And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark (charagma)in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name." (Revelation 13:16-17)

The word translated as "mark" in our English Bibles is the Greek word, charagma meaning "a scratch or etching, ie a stamp as a badge of servitude", rather than stigmata, which refers to scarring left by a puncture wound.

A barcode would be tattooed or otherwise etched on the skin, like a stamp, whereas an implantable RFID chip is implanted by puncturing the skin.

The Bible says the Mark will be etched on the right hand or forehead, not implanted under the skin. So isn't it interesting that Verichip went off the market in 2010 after being linked to cancer?

"Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six." (Revelation 13:18)

Among unbelievers, this is probably the most-often quoted verse in Scripture. Remember the Omen Trilogy? Damien had three little sixes hidden in his hair to identify him as the antichrist.

But the Bible says the mark will contain the number of his name and that number is six hundred and sixty six. The mark isn't on the antichrist -- it will be etched on his followers.

I wish I had a dollar for every time somebody said dismissively, "When a Mark shows up using the 666 symbol, then I will believe!"

The symbols of three sixes have been part of the UPC for almost forty years. I always get hammered at this point by purists pointing out that the three dividing lines are not "sixes" -- they just look like sixes.

But THAT's my point. It doesn't matter if they are sixes. Barcodes use machine-readable symbols. The Bible isn't written from the perspective of a machine. We look at the same symbols with our eyes and the three long separators look like the symbol for "six."

So to all intents and purposes, there is already a universal, economic Mark that incorporates three visible "sixes" without which, retailers couldn't sell, and consequently, you couldn't buy.

But it isn't the Mark of the Beast, anymore than an implantable RFID chip is the Mark of the Beast.

The Mark is a symbol of worship. You obtain it by submitting to the False Prophet's demand that the Beast be worshipped. Those that refuse to worship are refused the Mark, which excludes them from the economic system, which makes them easy to identify and round up.

But what I want you to see this morning isn't that the Mark of the Beast is upon us. It isn't. First you need a Beast. Then you need a Mark. What I want you to see this morning is the technology.

It was never possible prior to this generation. Don't let that blend into the background of white noise. Pull it back out and dwell on it.

Prior to this generation, the whole prophecy was impossible. . . yet for two thousand years, there it was, in black and white.

Generation after generation puzzled over what the prophecy could mean. The preterist argument that Revelation's "Beast" was really Emperors Nero and Domitian collides with the Mark of the Beast, something they could credibly claim was all 'symbolic' only when it was impossible.

But the Mark of the Beast is not only literally possible, for this generation, something like it is inevitable. There is no denying the reality that for this generation, cash is unnecessary, anonymity is impossible, and centralized government is inescapable.

There is only one possible explanation for John's detailed description of this exact scenario, set for a single generation somewhere in time, to the exclusion of all other generations, since it must come at the same time as the restoration of Israel and the revival of the old Roman Empire.

Read that last paragraph through one more time. Don't allow its familiarity to diminish what it says. This is the time forecast by the Lord Jesus and all the prophets that every generation has looked for since the Lord ascended back into Heaven.

We are the generation witnessing the greatest interaction between the natural and supernatural since the Apostles roamed the known world preaching the Gospel of Peace. It is happening right now, all around us!

One of our members wrote in the forums yesterday, "I'm tired of all the killing. I'm tired of reading about faces getting eaten off, of moms killing their kids. I'm tired, tired, tired."

So am I, Warren. I get up every morning determined to find something cheerful and optimistic to write about. If only I could find something.

But keeping things in perspective, these things point, as does everything else, to a time when evil will run wild, unhindered by the social and spiritual restraints which any honest observer can plainly see have already reached a breaking point.

Looked at from the perspective of today's news, one need not ever crack a Bible or ever have heard of Bible prophecy to arrive at the same conclusions forecast by the prophets for the last days.

The difference is, however, that the Bible not only told us what would happen two thousand years in advance, it also tells us how it all turns out in the end.

"And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads, for your redemption draweth nigh." (Luke 21:28)

Under the circumstances, that is about as cheerful and optimistic as it gets. Don't let fear steal your victory! The scarier it looks, the closer our redemption.

The Lord is coming!

Well, of course he didn't.

A man writing in the first century of things like nuclear war, and things like one man being able to control the buying and selling of every single person on the planet, and a man being able to create an "image" of someone that will speak, probably wouldn't understand what he was being told but did it anyway out of obedience to Jesus Christ.

However, a generation would come that would understand what is in Revelation, and that generation has arrived.

The chips are so two years ago.

They now have developed tattoos which contain the same information as the chip and which will be "etched" on top of the skin instead of being injected.

The funny thing is, the tattoos exactly match the word used by God for the Mark of the Beast.

No worries, johngrace! Barack Obama is not the Antichrist. He doesn't come close to matching any of the Biblical descriptions for the AC.

Obama's role is to bring America down, which has to happen for the revived Roman Empire to come to prominence which God tells us is going to happen.

It's not that I think there's nothing to discuss in this regard, it's only that i was examining barcodes back in the 90s when I was an evangical. Barcodes and RFID gizmos are rife with possibilities for your aspiring Man of Perdition, but the idea is kind of passé.

I've turned my attention to databases. Barcodes are just etchings without Big Data!

Death to databases!

I tend to agree with you. But gee I wonder what possessed them to call the presidential limo the name "the beast". Sarc.

How about the head of Facebook calls his dog " Beast" then in a video I saw he calls friends " hello demon" . Also he shows on his Facebook Photos page roasting barbecue Goat over a spit with friends. Too Many coincedes. This is classic satanism. I knew a former satanist who became a very devout Christian.

There is definitely something big and growing in the powers that be. Especially for these last days. IMHO.

It probably will.

But if it does or doesn't, God has a plan:

And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the MARK of the beast, and upon them which worshiped his image. (Revelation 16:2)

First you need a Beast.
Pour the 1/3 cup soy sauce and dry onion soup mix into the slow cooker.
Mix well.
Place Beast into slow cooker.
Add water until the top 1/2 inch of the Beast is not covered.
Add the fresh ground pepper over the top.
Cover and cook on low for 22 hours.

ROAST BEAST WILL SERVE 666.

Thanks.

However . . . I’m now convinced of something I came dragging my feet and resisting being convinced of.

However, Walid Shoebat is meticulously thorough in his demonstration FROM SCRIPTURE that

1. the Anti-Christ and the Muslim Mahdi share far too many identical data points for it to be coincidence. I think it is maybe slightly less than 100% certain that they are the same personage.

2. the Anti-Christ’s PRIMARY turf, sphere, power state will be all the Muslim nations.

Shoebat is less convincing that all the nations of the world will not be under the anti-Christ’s rule.

However, even Scripture indicates that a nation or 3 will rebel against the Anti-Christ for part of the tribulation.

Personally, I think that ‘every tribe and language’ phrasing indicates that for part of the time, every nation will be under the AC’s heavy handed influence, if not tyrannical absolute rule.

Nevertheless, Shoebat makes a convincing point that every Biblical Messianic prophecy which describes the Messiah conquering, obliterating etc. the Anti-Christ’s forces—EVERY NATION SO DESCRIBED IS A MUSLIM NATION.

I think Shoebat is right and Hal Lindsey et al are wrong. I never expected to say that.

Thanks much for the ping. Sorry I haven’t been on more lately.

As you probably remember/already know I have long had a feeling that the Mahdi and the AC were either the same, or had something to do with each other.

Remember a while back when I was reading through the “99 names” of god - according to the Koran, Suras, and Hadiths? And, I found ONE of the names was “the great deceiver”? Honestly, that’s all I needed to read to know that the *god* they pray to is not my Lord.

I will definitely have to read Shoebat’s book. I have long respected his talks on Jihad, terrorism, his backstory, and the related issues. He is a very wise man, that much I know for sure.

I had one question in relation to your post - I think I know what you meant, but am confused.
You wrote, “Nevertheless, Shoebat makes a convincing point that every Biblical Messianic prophecy which describes the Messiah conquering, obliterating etc. the Anti-Christ’s forces—EVERY NATION SO DESCRIBED IS A MUSLIM NATION.”

Do you mean that every nation that the Messiah will conquer and obliterate are all predominantly and/or officially Muslim countries, or in some way they are against Christians and aligned with Muslims? I’m just trying to clarify because I’m wondering what would make Russia or China decide to declare themselves controlled by a religious following vs. the Leader- or State-worship type of collective secular society they have historically tried to instill in their citizenry.

Irvin Baxter, on TV (End Times) and on endtime.com (on the net) also has some interesting takes on Bible prophecy concerning the times we are living in.

Does Walid have a new book, or is this from one of his older ones? I’ve seen him on TV, but haven’t read his books.

Will try to be more clear . . .

1. Shoebat goes through every Messianic prophecy describing the Messiah’s return at Armageddon (and he documents that the Ezek 38/9 war IS the Armageddon war—to my chagrin) . . .

that EVERY Messianic prophecy describing Christ retaliating against a country of the Anti-Christ’s reign—every one of those countries is currently a Muslim country.

2. I agree that Christ will reign over all the world and over all Creation overtly. I think Shoebat would agree with that.

3. where I still quibble with Shoebat is he’s not convinced that the AC will rule over every tongue, kindred, people group, nation for at least 3.5 years. I think he will. I agree that Scripture indicates 1-3 nations will rebel against the AC’s rule for part of the tribulation.

Shoebat thinks the ‘every nation, language, nation’ verse is Middle Eastern hyperbole. I think it’s literal.

The book GOD’S WAR ON TERROR is his latest, I think. Not certain. I think it’s well worth reading. I have about two more signatures of the book to read (a book signature being one of the folded sections bound together to make a book). It’s more than 500 pages and I’m past page 400.

I don’t recall if I noted above . . . he documents with several Biblical points and descriptors that MYSTERY BABYLON has to be Saudia Arabia. I reluctantly am convinced he’s right.

That doesn’t mean it can’t also have other meanings. But I now think that the primary Biblical meaning is Saudia Arabia.

IIRC, He also says that the ‘drunk with her wine’ is both Saudia Arabia’s oil as well as the wine of her satanic religion. More than plausible, imho.

He also documents from the core founding documents and history of Islam that it literally is a satan worshiping religion—from before Muhammed to this day.

The moon god worshiping stuff was well entrenched in the area before Muhammed was born.

He documents that Baal etc. of the Babylonians was essentially the same satanic moon god. He documents that thoroughly with early documents as well as archeology from several sources.

Certainly the deliberately EVIL, deceptive bent of the satanic moon god is NOT the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob!

Thanks for your kind replies.

I tend to also think the Islamic “Mahdi” is probably more likely to be the Antichrist who will show up on the scene before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. His MO sounds a whole lot like he could be. - So, I guess if some Muslim guy climbs out of a well over there claiming to be the AC, look out! (I think also that the “False Prophet” may already have come in the form of Mohammed.)

Irvin Baxter has made some good points; but seems to want to tie the Antichrist to some future Pope to come and a one-world religion. I suppose anything’s a possibility, but I doubt it as things stand now. - Irvin talked about the trumpets in Revelation and how the first two tied into WWI and WWII, and discussed some of the research he had done on the trumpets and some other prophecies in Daniel and Revelation. Has hours of DVD’s, so it’s a lot to try to explain.

Besides, I doubt any one person’s take is likely 100% correct on it; but we are told in Scripture to READ Revelation, even if we don’t understand it so much, we’re told to read it. So, I do.
