Being a priest or pastor is not “just another job”.

God set the qualifications. Husband of one wife was one of them. This qualification inherently implies a spiritual leader of the church is a man. (Who can be married.)

Several places indicate qualifications for church leaders. All are defined as male.

There are plenty of other positions in the church that are ministerial positions open to women, some only open to women. There are no male nuns, for example.

The fact is while we are all made equal in Christ, that still doesn’t mean each sex doesn’t have specific God-given roles to perform. Men and women are called to minister, but some roles are reserved just for men and some for women. In the end God, who is the Head of His Church, gets to define the criteria for the people who would serve Him.

I would finally point out not all men are qualified to be leaders in a church. The criteria weed out many. Is it fair that not all men can be a pastor, even those who really, really want to, if they can’t meet God’s criteria? Can they still find other ways to minister within the church? Of course they can.

Incorrect. Suggest you reread 1 Timothy.
