What is their stand on gay marriage and ordination of gay clergy?
Mormons were the main financial supporters of California’s Prop. 8, defining marriage as between one man and one woman.
lds don’t have “clergy”, they have unpaid untrained leaders. SLC publicly supported the defeat of Prop 8 in Califonrnia, their pro-homosexual measures in Utah leads one to think they have conflicting views on the subject.
I have two homosexual lds cousins who have long term partners. One was asked to change or leave, the other has not been told to leave even though he is “out” big time.
Mormons oppose gay marriage and have no professional clergy other than a few full timers who are at the very top of the leadership ladder. Other than that it’s a lay clergy.
