Didn’t you previously stated that you don’t lose any sleep over what books constitute Sacred Scripture? No, I stated I didn't lose any sleep over the fact that your Bible contained more OT books than mine and that it wasn't a contest.

If the Church that wrote, preserved and canonized the Bible is fallible, than the Bible would have to be fallible. Excuse me? YOUR church wrote the Bible? I don't think so. At least give the writers credit.

We know the cannon of Scripture with certainty because an infallible source determined it.God determined it. It is His Word after all. Your church did preserve it for a while until Gods timeline determined the whole world should read it. All things work towards the will of God.

Didn’t they belong to Christ’s Church?

I see the question. And your presupposition in which you label your church as Christs Church. None of the writers from Moses to John were Catholics, they didn’t practice Catholicism nor would they ever do so. The writers belong to Christ. His Church is in Heaven. Many writers of the old Testament practiced their faith with their families. Not always the case of course. The New Testament writers started and revisited churches. Even these churches needed chiding and exhorting. No attempts to label them “infallible”. That was contrary to their way of thinking. Revelation chapters 2 & 3 upbraid certain churches to raise their sights higher. To weed out the evil that was constantly lurking to infiltrate them. To answer your question there is no Catholic writer in my Bible.

>> “Jesus chided the Jews for preferring their interpretation of Scripture over Him.” <<

. You might get away with that kind of deception with someone that has never read Matthew, but any Bible reader can see that Christ completely denounced all “traditions” in favor of the plain word of God.

Luke 10: 1After this the Lord appointed seventy-twoa others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. 2He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. 3Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves. 4Do not take a purse or bag or sandals; and do not greet anyone on the road. 5“When you enter a house, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’ 6If a man of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; if not, it will return to you. 7Stay in that house, eating and drinking whatever they give you, for the worker deserves his wages. Do not move around from house to house. 8“When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is set before you. 9Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God is near you.’ 10But when you enter a town and are not welcomed, go into its streets and say, 11‘Even the dust of your town that sticks to our feet we wipe off against you. Yet be sure of this: The kingdom of God is near.’ 12I tell you, it will be more bearable on that day for Sodom than for that town.

13“Woe to you, Korazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. 14But it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment than for you. 15And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted up to the skies? No, you will go down to the depths.b 16“He who listens to you listens to me; he who rejects you rejects me; but he who rejects me rejects him who sent me.”

17The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.” 18He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. 20However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

21At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure. 22“All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”

23Then he turned to his disciples and said privately, “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see. 24For I tell you that many prophets and kings wanted to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.”

Matthew 28: 16Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them ina the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

I see that you are very familiar with Matthew. Also Luke. And Mark.

Every ‘tradition’ of the catholic ‘church’ is an extension of the lies of Satan.

Your one trick pony lies dead in the sand.

Check out Mark Brsnrs tagline. I would certainly call it blasphemous. He has to check with his “church” to see if God is telling the truth. His response didn’t really address the “traditions” topic either. I’d rather meet my Maker knowing I read His Word and tried to follow it rather than trust my soul to some church that has a dubious history.

I have found just about all of what he posts to be equally blasphemous.

And to say that the Roman catholic ‘church’ has a dubious history is the understatement of all time. Its creation by the Pharisees in the 4th century was the second fulfillment of Daniel’s “little horn” prophecy.

Thank you for again proving my points, and revealing your abysmal lack of cognition regarding the scriptures.
.

P.S. That blasphemy in your tag line fits you well IMO.

Very good. Attacking me in a post and not courtesy pinging me. That is a class act.

God tells the truth. It is those who accuse others behind their backs who do not.

I have found that those who accuse others behind their backs are usually more guilty of what the accusers claim is actually the truth.

The Catholic Church was created by Jesus in the first century. Sorry if it hampers the various churches of the god in the mirror.

I refuted every point you have ever made to me with Scripture.

My tag line is a quote from St. Augustine against the heretics. It serves very well here in the RF against the heretics even to this day, doesn't it? You're welcome.

It causes one to create their own religion according to the god in the mirror.

You didn’t create the catholic abomination; the Pharisees did, in the 4th century.

Stick with your opium.
