Your assertion of who I support is a lie;

I got it from reading a few of your posts that you support Mitt. So it's not a lie but misinterpretation of your posts. I wasn't defending Park - but wondered by your were saying he was trashing Mitt when he was trashing Mormonism and the effects it will bring to a presidency. From an ex mormon, I'll say he knows best. BTW, how many lies has Mitt told you and include the lies of ommission. Or do you even know that they are lies yet?

And mitt is not the common member sitting in the pew but it's one of it's leaders. Didn't know that before - so his religion wasn't really an issue - his pro homo/abortion, liberal big gov't accomplishments and LYING/DECEPTION, snake in the grass traits are and never belonged on the R ticket.

It's not about you but our country. Keep focused.

Thank you, reaganaut, for taking the time for explaining it all so well. One last question, well, at least, for today.

You become a “Bishop” by being ‘called’ by the Stake president to lead a congregation

Romney has a congregation? You mean he gets up and preaches?

looking for religion rather than Christ or they equate the two.

I like the way you said that - good insight! And it's a good question people should ask themselves as it would be a thorn in the side to this cult.

However, the internet has been changing that and conversions are WAY down.

I used to see LDS TV advertisements and didn't know that was mormon - I thought the LDS was the 7th Day Adventists. As you can see, I didn't really pay attention. So many 'religions' while there is only One Truth.

My mormom knowledge came from Donnie and Marie. Nothing except they appeared wholesome and your everyday nice folk you'd want as neighbors. Thank God for the internet and you!!

Of no importance but I'll ask anyway. Is Joseph Smith his real name, it's sounds sorta like a 'Jane Doe' thingie.

He did have a congregation when he was bishop (for about two years). Mormons don’t get up and preach, rather the Bishop has 2 or 3 members of the congregation prepare ‘talks’ on a topic he assigns them. The members to speak vary from week to week and it goes through most of the active congregation every year or so. I averaged one ‘talk’ per year when I was LDS.

Joseph Smith, Junior was his real name. Yep.

when he was bishop

Oh, so he's no longer a bishop. Is he sitting in waiting for his next assignment or title?

So the congregation does the work. Can you go back as a 'visitor' and give them a real talking to? ;)

A 'joseph smith' could be any fraud/con man.

THANK YOU, again!! Nothing seems to penetrate the minds of his supporters - they may not know about mormonism or know he's just not a member but they do know his record. It makes me feel out of sorts - it's not like there are two rinos in the lead and we have to decide - ONE is a liberal and one a conservative and the liberal is leading. What's wrong w/this picture?!

He is Mitt Romney’s second cousin. Church documents and archival research done by The Post’s Lucy Shackelford trace Park’s lineage to Miles Park Romney, who is also Mitt’s great-grandfather.The two men have never met.

they seem to be scraping the bottom of the barrel, don't they?

I have a mentally ill uncle who swears Roosevelt was Jewish and they are taking over the world. Most of us have nuts in the family, but to find a distant second cousin to bash a person is pushing it a bit over the limit.

They don’t let non members speak and you can’t speak if you are not assigned for that week, unless it is a fast and testimony meeting. If you do get up during then and it isn’t a standard Mormon testimony you are escorted out and threatened with arrest for trespassing. I know people who have tried it.

After Mitt was a Bishop, the moved up the ranks and served as a Stake President, callings vary and he probably doesn’t have one now just because of his schedule and being in the spotlight.

However, I fully expect him to be ‘called’ even further up the ladder to a “General Authority” first a member of the quorum of the Seventy, then possibly one of the twelve apostles.

What I don’t get are those who still don’t think that Mitt’s Mormonism has anything to do with it. It says so much about him, his lack of discernment, where his loyalties lie, why he lies and flip flops, his liberal positions...all of that are BECAUSE of his Mormonism, not in spite of it but too many want to appear PC and ‘tolerant’ to see the connection.

So much for spreading the love. ;)

then possibly one of the twelve apostles.

Judas?

Praise God that you got out of it. It's easy to be deceived, I think we all have been in some areas of our life but harder to see it once in it and then to take action. Good for you for hearing and obey His Voice!

all of that are BECAUSE of his Mormonism

Yes, I learned that. There was a thread here about not wanting him because he's mormon. Knowing he's a liar, I flippantly said - if mormonism accepts and promotes lying, then yeah, I don't want him because he's mormon. Only to learn they do!! I was shocked - I spent the day trying to let that bit of info settle in. I really thought some were just joking w/me but he lies like it's a part of him - like he's incapable of telling truth. So while it was hard to believe it, his actions made it believable.

I always thought he was a snake - that was my first impression when I listened to him in '08 and he's confirmed it. Why R voters are for him with his record, I can't understand. The only thing that makes sense is they are attracted to evil.
