Pastors have a responsebility to ALWAYS point their congregations to CHRIST, never to themselves. If their is idolatry or pastor-worship in a church, then it is the pastors job to nip it in the bud ASAP and to return his peoples focus and worship to Christ.

Sadly there are some charlatans in Christendom, but their false doctrine and false teaching = lording it over their congregations does NOT negate the biblical role and office of pastor/teachers. It is also not the pastors fault in most cases that their congregations are not fulfilling their roles as priests. Often it comes about because the are lazy, SELF-centered, or willfully sherking their personal responsebility.

My position is we are conditioned by our culture. We know what we know because this is all we know. Satan has lulled us to sleep. It is going to hit the fan any minute and everyone is in la la land. The next election will fix everything.
